Essential Info If you have a Panasonic 8 x 24 Phone System installed to manage your business phone and voicemail capabilities, you can expand this system to talk to visitors and allow them entry without getting up to open a door. The Door Phone/Door Open Card and supports up to four Door Intercom Stations to communicate with guests arriving at any entry to your building. Once you've established who's there, you can let them in with the press of a button by installing a Door Strike Mechanism.

The phone system, intercoms and door strike mechanisms are sold separately. Installing the Door Phone/Door Open Card is easy: Just follow the instructions laid out in your phone system manual. Phone cords and connectors are included to connect to your Door Intercom Stations. The KX TA82461 card allows you to connect up to 4 door intercoms, either a KX-TA30865 or KX-T7775, or any of the video door phone models can be connected. It is also equipped with 4 relay contacts that can be connected to an electric door strike mechanism or any low voltage device that you would like to control through a system telephone. A maximum of 1 KXTA82461 can be installed in the system.

• You may also connect a Viking Door Phone to your system by using a special Viking made adapter
• This card will allow you to push a button on the door phone and ring phones on your system to alert you that someone is at the door
• You may also push a button on your phone to open the door. A locksmith is required to set up the electronic door strike
• It is also equipped with 4 relay contacts that can be connected to an electric door strike mechanism or any low voltage device that you would like to control through a system telephone, such as turning on lights in a room, open blinds, etc.
• You may also set up one of the 4 relays to operate the existing doorbell in your home or office
• A maximum of 1 KX TA82461 can be installed in the system.
