Merlin Magix 4.0 Processor Module
- The latest release 4.0 Merlin Magix Processor is the "Brain" of the Magix phone system.

The MERLIN MAGIX Integrated System simplifies administration and maintenance, which can reduce operating costs.
- Programming is via a user-friendly, graphical user interface (GUI)-based software application:
- the Microsoft Windows-based System Programming and Maintenance (WinSPM) software. This application provides on-screen icons and menu choices to guide system administrators through the administration process.
- The processor module is the “brain” of the system, a miniature computer that controls system features and diagnostics, as well as the traffic among the modules.
- The processor module has built in 2 jacks, one for SMDR and one for local system programming, and a built in modem for remote programming.
- There is also a slot for PCMCIA card for backup/restore/upgrade applications. You can program the system through an MLX-20L on an MLX module, 4424LD+ on a TDL module, or through WINSPM either locally through the admin port or remotely thru the built in modem.

- Record-A-Call. Release 4.0 introduces the Record-A-Call feature that allows users to record telephone voice conversations to their voice mailbox. A Record-ACall button must be programmed on a multiline telephone to activate the feature.
- A MERLIN® Messaging System Release 4.0 or later is also required for the Record-A-Call feature to operate.
- New Telephone Supported 3810 Wireless telephone. The Avaya 3810 Wireless Telephone is a digital telephone designed to work with the MERLIN MAGIX Integrated System Release 1.5 and later. It offers the mobility inherent in a wireless telephone plus access to the features and functionality of the communications system. The Avaya 3810 Wireless telephone connects to the MERLIN MAGIX System using the 412- or 024-TDL Module. For MERLIN MAGIX system feature functionality, the 3810 Telephone functions like a TransTalk 9040 telephone.
- SPM 9.0 WinSPM 9.0 software offers an automatic conversion program via the DOS-emulator version of SPM and flow control for the programming thru the serial port or remotely thru the built in modem.WinSPM will help thru the upgrade process to make it simple and utilize less time.WinSPM is backward compatible.
